Covid Vaccine Education and Equity Program (VEEP)

“The VEEP Grant Cycle has ended and it was a huge success. Over the past year, TWC partnered with 9 local nonprofits or small businesses to increase access to reliable COVID-19 Education and vaccines. Supporting multiple outdoor, indoor and virtual family friendly community events, VEEP increased access to vaccines, testing and education to over 14,000 participants from our most vulnerable population. The indirect impact via social media, PBA’s, COVID expert panels exceeded 45,000 people across Massachusetts and over 1200 vaccines were administered.

It is impossible to know how many individuals sought and obtained vaccines elsewhere as a result of VEEP, but we do have evidence of a nationwide narrowing of the information gap in communities of color, and an enormous reduction in morbidity and mortality due to Covid since the vaccine began available.
